FAQ
Is this investment advice?
No. Answers are model output for information only: not a recommendation and not a guarantee of any outcome.
What is the difference between a probability and a belief?
A forecast's number is the probability of a future outcome. A rule's number is a belief in how clearly a fact holds now. How ora-fin1 decides.
How do I know whether a rule or the forecast model answered?
Rule answers carry a rule field (and basis); forecast answers do not.
Can I write my own indicators?
Yes, as expressions: (C - sma(C, 20)) / atr(14) > 2. Every function is in the Function reference.
Do rules cost more than English questions?
No. You pay per input token for the whole request, whatever answers it.
Which symbols are covered?
About 2,000 liquid US stocks and ETFs. Anything else returns a 422 that says so.
When is the data updated?
After each close, around 16:40 and 20:40 New York time. During the session you get the previous one.
Can rules use intraday data?
Not today: rules run on daily bars.
Why is my rule exactly 0.50?
It is on the line (a tie), it needs more history than is loaded, or it looks forward with a positive offset. Common mistakes.
Can an action fire on a rule?
Yes. A rule answer is a number like any other: "when": "breakout >= 0.6 and up_week >= 0.55". Turning a rule into an alert or workflow.
Can I test actions without sending anything?
Yes: "dry_run": true returns exactly what would be sent.
Which model version answered?
Every response has version. Log it with each decision.
Is there an SDK?
Not yet. The Code button gives any request in eight languages; Code in 8 languages.
